GMA Network has issued a statement about the sudden turn of events surrounding the relationship of Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez.

In a report by GMA News Online, the giant network also expressed its desire for Carla and Tom to resolve their issues as soon as possible.
“We are saddened by the recent turn of events involving GMA artists Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez,” the first part of the statement read.
“It is our prayer that they will be able to resolve their issues at the soonest possible time and in the most amicable manner,” the statement continued.

The Manila Bulletin also quoted GMA Network appealing to the public to try avoiding spreading various speculations about the network’s two talents.
“We also request their fans, supporters, and the public to refrain from spreading various speculations about them,” the network’s statement further said.
It can be recalled that Tom and Carla suddenly parted ways only three months after they tied the knot.
Just recently, Tom has confirmed that he was handed a favorable decision as regards the divorce case he filed in the US.
In a report by the Manila Times, Carla, also made her feelings known when she posted that she was "betrayed" and "disrespected."
Carla Abellana or Carla Angeline Reyes Abellana in real life is a Filipina showbiz personality who is an exclusive artist of GMA-7. Before entering the entertainment industry, she graduated with honors from De La Salle University with a degree in psychology.
Carla has noticeably liked a few posts and comments that were about Tom Rodriguez. Because of this, a netizen criticized her for doing so and even called her a "hypocrite." The comedienne shared a quote that a person who is unhappy in a relationship should just leave instead of cheating on his or her partner.
