Robin Padilla, 52, had to be rushed to the hospital to get a much-needed check up after he felt weak during his trip to Spain with Mariel Padilla and their kids.
In a lengthy post, shared on his Facebook page, KAMI learned that the senator-elect recounted his experience before he was rushed to the hospital.
"Bismillahi. Alhamdulillah binigyan pa ako ng Allah ng buhay. Alhamdulillah," Robin began in his viral online post.

According to Robin, he does not have any illnesses which is why it was hard to understand why he suddenly felt that way during the trip.

"Napakahirap intindihin ng nangyari sa akin. Wala akong kahit anong sakit pero bigla na lang ako nawalan ng lakas ang tuhod ko habang naglalakad sa parke dahilan para kagyat ako umupo sa ilalim ng puno. Nagdilim ang paningin ko at bumagsak ako sa puno sa likod ko. Hilong hilo ako."
Following his story, Robin recalled that one of the locals even went to talk to him, helping him stand after he took a rest under a tree.
"Nanumbalik ang lakas ng tuhod ko. Dahan-dahan ako tumayo. Inalalayan ako ng espanyol, hindi ko siya naiintindihan kaya sabi ko lang, 'Salamat señor.' Hinanap ko kung nasan ang asawa ko. Nakita ko ang 2 namin kapamilya kasama si Gabzy na himbing na himbing sa kanyang stroller. Wala si Mariel, kasama si Isabela na nakasakay sa isa sa mga rides."
Eventually, his condition worsened after he looked for Mariel and his kids, "Nahihirapan na ako huminga. Bumibigat ang dibdib ko. Kailangan ko na pumunta sa ospital."
While waiting for the taxi, Robin spotted a clinic nearby where a nurse, who spoke English, was able to assist him.
"Pinuntahan ko agad ito pumasok at sinalubong ako ng nurse na marunong mag-inglis. Sinabi ko sa kanya ang nangyayari sa akin. Pinaupo niya ako kinunan ng BP. 200/150. Nagulat ang nurse. Inulit ganun ulit. Nagdesisyon siyang tumawag ng ambulance."
Afterwards, Robin was transferred to the hospital where he underwent several tests to monitor his high blood pressure.
"May mga test ang ginawa sa akin. Blood test, x-ray, urine. Lahat ay normal. Binigyan lang ako ng gamot sa high blood good for 5 days," Robin added.
