- The name of the famous international singer appeared on the said list, something that Apl.de.Ap might not have been aware about

- He subsequently posted on another social media platform that he is not endorsing any candidate

Apl.de.Ap wrote three “facepalm” emojis in the comment section of a post on Facebook post showing his name appearing on the “Artists for BBM-Sara” list.

It turned out that his name’s inclusion was erroneous as Apl.de.ap himself said that he’s not endorsing any candidates.

It wasn’t clear how the international singer was made aware of the post, though upon coming across the post, he opted to comment three “facepalm” emojis, indicating what he felt on seeing the list.

A video footage of an alleged performance of Apl.de.Ap in a Team Unity campaign rally also turned out to be that of an alleged impersonator

According to a news report by interaksyon.philstar.com, the one appearing on the video is Apl.de.Ap’s local impersonator, Christopher Cadinong of Caloocan City.

In a subsequent post on Twitter, the international singer also said that he’s putting country over party and is not endorsing any candidate.

“Country over party. Not endorsing any candidate,” Apl.de.Ap tweeted.

Another Facebook account slammed the post, saying the perpetrators did not spare the international singer from fake news.

“Pati si Apl.de.Ap pineke niyo,” reads the post on the said FB account.

Apl.de.Ap, or Allan Pineda Lindo in real life, is a Filipino-American rapper, singer and record producer. He is one of the founding members of the hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas.

Earlier, a Facebook page sharing the photo of Apl.de.Ap and billing him as one of the artists that endorsed the BBM-Sara team made rounds online. Another page also shared a video of an alleged performance of Apl.de.Ap in a Team Unity rally. The international wrote three "facepalm" emojis in the coments section by way of his reaction to the post.

Last year, Apl.de.Ap stirred the online grapevine when he hooked up with KC Concepcion and celebrity chef Jordan Andino in the US. The actress appeared to be very happy as she bonds again with her two friends whom she described as her inspiration. Calling them her homeboys, KC referred to them as the “coolest” people she has ever known. She also thanked them for helping her make America feel like her own home.
