Gretchen Barretto is a well-known actress in the Philippines and the sister of actors Claudine and Marjorie Barretto. She has been in a relationship with business tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco for almost three decades now but the latter is still legally married to Denise Yabut, his first wife. They have a daughter named Dominique Cojuangco.

In a video she uploaded last week, a voice that sounded like Gretchen's is heard in the background questioning how Sen. Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa became a senator after watching the legislator lay down his questions in the ongoing Senate investigation on e-sabong. The socialite and former actress said those in similar positions should be lawyers, adding that the former PNP Chief-turned-legislator is better off hosting a game show. La Greta also encouraged people to vote wisely and not to vote a ‘Bato’ into office. She then said “tumatalpak kasi itong si Bato na ito eh” and ensuring that the truth will come out soon.

The same voice also pointed out the allegedly expensive watch that Sen. Ronaldo ‘Bato’ dela Rosa is wearing during the investigation of the Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous substances on e-sabong. The female voice also questioned the origin of the said watch and appeared to give a hint that a senator might not be able to afford such a timepiece. The video that she posted appears to be a recording of the proceedings of the Senate panel currently investigating the alleged abduction of several ‘sabungeros’ involved in e-sabong.
