- According to the statement, more than anything else, the people need the money to help them recover after Typhoon Odette, which makes them wonder why the provincial government is trying to fast-track the project

- The statement also said that the DENR has already stated that the project will impact the ecosystem of Siargao greatly

Nadine Lustre took to Instagram and shared the stand of many Siargao residents against the proposed, and "fast-tracked' bridge project that costs P144 million, which will connect Brgy. Malinao in General Luna and Brgy. Union in Dapa.

As per the statement, it was a project that "nobody wants."

"144 Million Pesos is about to be wasted instead of being used to help us, Odette victims."

The statement called for Siargaonons to come to the consultation meeting, which will be held at 9 a.m. at the New Pastoral Center, Dapa, Surigao Del Norte.

As per the statement, the bridge will be destroying one of the most peaceful areas, and the DENR said that it will create a great impact on the ecosystem.

In addition, many residents in the areas that will be affected are allegedly strongly opposed to it.

"No less than 144 million pesos of public funds is about to get used for a bridge-project that nobody wants...Most of the residents of this area are strongly against it. This bridge will destroy one of the most peaceful and greenest areas in General Luna, this area hosts major eco-luxury resorts and famous natural beach areas that are open to all. It will also destroy a great amount of protected seagrass and mangrove forests."

"The local and Provincial DENR have already passed resolutions against this project and they have recognized that it would seriously endanger the local ecosystem and protected area without providing a benefit to the public. Still they are insisting to push this project forward."

"How come a project like this one is being fast-tracked by the DPWH and the Provincial Government while most of Siargaonon are starving and suffering every single day from the terrible effects of the super typhoon?"

Nadz then responded that it is nice to know that after all this time, she was the one that is living rent free in the heads of bashers. The actress also added that the resbak of the basher clearly does not have any wow factor.
