Veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin, during her talk show Cristy Ferminute, praised Erich Gonzales for being quiet about her boyfriend, Mateo Lorenzo.

She said Erich is so unlike other women who would flaunt their boyfriends’ cars all over town.
The good thing about Erich, Nay Cristy said, is that she keeps a quiet stance about her BF and she never flaunted that Mateo is a son of a billionaire.
“Ang maganda kay Erich, hindi siya maingay. Hindi niya ipinagyayabang na may boyfriend siyang anak ng bilyonaryo, di ba,” Nay Cristy said during the show.

“Di katulad ng iba dyan na gumaganda lang ang kotse ng boyfriend eh akala mo na kung sinong, pina-fashion na sa buong bayan,” the veteran columnist added.
She said that Erich is just quiet and showbiz personalities who don’t talk about their BF or GF often end up marrying them.
“Si Erich tahimik, ganun ang mga artista pag tahimik, nagkakatuluyan,” she said.
The veteran columnist then said that Mateo, since he comes from an affluent family, might not also want to have his relationship with Erich being made public.
“Oh kita mo, tahimik si Erich, siyempre ayaw din ng mga boyfriend, maglalantaran ng kanilang pagkatao sa publiko. Lalo pa mga buena familia na tulad nitong si Matteo,” the veteran columnist said.
Nay Cristy then compared Erich with others who would immediately issue press releases about their partners.
“Di ba, eh yung iba kasi, hindi pa man, may press release na agad,” Nay Cristy said.
Cristinelli Fermin, more popularly known as Cristy Fermin, is a Pinay talk show host and showbiz columnist. She attended and finished her Journalism degree at the Lyceum of the Philippines University. Her first journalistic foray was into the political scene, but soon after, she started writing about celebrities and movie stars. Her TV debut was with GMA’s Movie Magazine where she was the main host. She also hosted with Butch Francisco a Sunday talk show titled “Showbiz Lingo.” She later hosted the daily talk program Cristy Per Minute and was regarded then as the “Queen of Intrigues.”
Nay Cristy, in an episode of Cristy Ferminute, shared what Lolit Solis said about the relationship of Erich Gonzales and Mateo Lorenzo. She said that Lolit mentioned that when Erich and Mateo were just starting out in their relationship, the family of Mateo allegedly ran a background check on the actress. Cristy said that such is okay considering that even those who do not have money would want to find out from what family their boyfriend or girlfriend came from. She then added that later on, Erich and Mateo's relationship just got okay.
She also recently had some frank comments about James Reid’s dad, Malcolm Reid. She wrote the remarks in her column titled “Tatay ni James, consistent sa pagiging epal!” after Malcolm posted that his son went to Los Angeles for recording sessions and to visit his brother. The said post debunked earlier reports that the actor will be staying in the USA for good. Cristy, in the said column, then penned why she called the singer-actor’s father “epal.”
