Veteran showbiz columnist, Nay Lolit Solis, in an Instagram post, gave her opinion on the sudden and unexpected announcement of PBA team Alaska Aces that it is no longer participating in the current season.

Team officials also announced that the franchise is now for sale, something that Alaska fans consider a great tragedy, according to Nay Lolit.

“Parang isang malaking tragedy sa mga fans ng Alaska ng mabalita na hindi na itutuloy ng kumpanya ang basketball team nila,” Lolit wrote in her post.

She then likened the sport, along with its teams and players, with actors and actresses in showbiz, in terms of the number of fans.

“Alam mo naman na tulad ng showbiz ganuon din karami ang fans ng mga basketball players at mga team nila,” the veteran showbiz columnist said.

According to Nay Lolit, Alaska team followers and fans can’t believe that their favorite team would be gone.

“Talagang hindi sila makapaniwala na bigla mawawala ang paborito nilang team,” she wrote.

The veteran columnist then said that it is indeed a sad day for the fans of the Alaska team, though she expressed hope that she would see the players do their routine again on the court, someday.

“Sad day sa mga Alaska fans. Sana nga mabuo pang muli at makita pang naglalaro ng basketball ang mga players ng Alaska. Go go go, play play play uli ang Alaska,” Nay Lolit wrote.

Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.

Recently, Nay Lolit took to Instagram to talk about TV host Kim Atienza and praised his seemingly endless energy when it comes to his work. The veteran showbiz columnist said that aside from his programs, the TV host also need to do a lot of research for his shows. She said the work ethics of Kim is one of the major reasons why his shows enjoy good ratings. Nay Lolit then congratulated Kim for a job well done.

The veteran showbiz columnist, in another IG post, also talked about how dashing and more handsome Piolo Pascual gets as he advances in age.The veteran showbiz columnist also said that the actor became more appealing as leading man, even if his on-screen partner is younger. Nay Lolit also praised the acting prowess of Piolo, which she said is one of his many assets. She then expressed hopes that the actor would not let his hair grow long anymore as it is not becoming with his character.
