Veteran showbiz columnist Nay Lolit Solis recently gave her take on what has happened to Berjaya Hotel.

It can be recalled that government authorities shut down the operations of the hotel after one of its guests, a woman who was supposedly in quarantine, was seen partying with friends in a Makati bar.
The woman in question eventually was referred to by the media as “Poblacion Girl,” after the location in Makati that she partied in.
“Kaloka si Poblacion Girl. Ang dami niyang dinamay sa kagagahan niya,” Nay Lolit began in her post.

She then took pity on people who lost their jobs resulting from the closure of the Berjaya Hotel.
“Kawawa din ang mga mawawalan ng trabaho sa Berjaya Hotel dahil ipinasara ito, iyon mga nahawahan niya dahil positive siya sa covid, perwisyo din,” the veteran columnist said.
Nay Lolit then said that people have the responsibility to do the right thing when they learn they are COVID positive.
“Malaking responsibilidad para sa bawat isa ang dapat mangyari pag alam mo na positive ka. Sana naman binuo na lang niya ang quarantine period niya at nagtiis ng ilang araw lang naman. Malaking kasalanan itinuturing ngayon na maging cause ka ng pagdami ng cases ng covid,” Nay Lolit continued.
She lamented the fact that many people could be affected by the irresponsible actions of one person.
“Iyon idamay mo pa ang marami, maawa ka naman. Naisip mo lang na sa panahon ngayon mawalan ng trabaho, ang laki ng problema, tapos idagdag mo pa na magkasakit ka,” she said.
Nay Lolit then expressed hope that no one will follow in the footsteps of Poblacion Girl.
“Sana wala ng maging kasunod si Poblacion Girl. Konting tiis lang, sakripisyo para maayos natin lahat itong mga nangyayari sa atin. Pag ayos na kalagayan mo, hindi lang sa poblasyon ka makararating, sa lahat puwede ka na. Ingat ingat lang,” Nay Lolit wrote in her post.
Lolit Solis is a Pinay talk show host, entertainment news writer, talent manager and showbiz columnist. She was born on May 20, 1947 in the city of Manila. According to the veteran columnist, she spent her early life in a poor section of Lardizabal in Sampaloc, Manila. She has made numerous controversial remarks about known celebrities. She was also involved in the infamous 1994 Manila Film Scandal, where she induced several actors and actresses to announce different names as winners.
The veteran showbiz columnist, a couple of days ago, took to Instagram to share her thoughts over Kris Aquino and Mel Sarmiento's breakup. Previously, the 'Queen of All Media' confirmed their breakup in a lengthy post on her social media account. According to Lolit, she actually thought that Mel was Kris' "the one" and "forever" already. The veteran columnist also expressed concerns for Kris due to the stress that the breakup may cause.
Nay Lolit also gave actress Yen Santos a frank message, something that Cristy Fermin immediately reacted to. Previously, Manay Lolit told the actress to not let Paolo Contis impregnate her. Manay Lolit furthermore aired that Paolo, her talent, has no money to buy infant milk. Nanay Cristy then expressed that Lolit’s straightforward message made her laugh so hard.
