Ogie Diaz, 51, had recently aired a piece of advice to Jane de Leon, the current star of Darna, in his latest showbiz vlog update on YouTube.
On Sunday, November 21, KAMI learned that Ogie and Mama Loi reacted to the news about Janella Salvador portraying the iconic villain, Valentina.
During the vlog, Loi asked Ogie what his thoughts were regarding the netizens who said that seeing Janella portray Valentina seems to be highly anticipated.

“Pero nay anong masasabi mo dun sa ibang mga netizens na nagsasabi ngayon na mukhang mas aabangan si Valentina kaysa kay Darna?” Loi asked.

According to Ogie, that is the opinion of the netizens, further explaining why the two actresses are suddenly being compared.
“Kasi nga diba, ni-launch na si Darna. Eh wala naman maikukumpara kay Darna, kaya itong nai-launch na rin, o ipinakilala na rin si Valentina, dun nagkaroon ng comparison. Kaya siguro sinabi nilang parang mas kaabang abang si Valentina.”
Following this statement, Ogie aired a few words of advice to Jane who is portraying an iconic role as well.
“Dapat lang wag magpalamon si Jane de Leon. Wag palamon si Darna. Dapat maramdaman yun ng mga tao. Kasi minsan may mga ganyan, hindi ‘to sa Darna, na pag alam nung taga-production na aba mas magaling umarte yung kontrabida kaysa sa bida, so sasabihan nila yung bida, ‘Uy ano ba, kumilos kilos ka. Mas namamarkahan yung acting nung kontrabida.’ Otherwise, ‘Aba teka sandali, mas importante satin ang bida. Pababain ang character ni kontrabida, bawasan ang ugali, bawasan ang eksena.’”
