Cristy Fermin recently tackled Claudine Barretto’s recent post showing a love letter, which she said she received from Rico Yan when they were still together.

In today’s episode of Cristy Ferminute, the veteran columnist said Claudine received criticisms from netizens who doubted if the letter was really from the late actor.

“Ang tanong, bina-bash din siya, 'Ano? Noon pa ba 'yan... bakit bagong bago lang 'yung papel? Parang kahapon lang isinulat bago niya kinunan?'”
Nanay Cristy then aired the possible reason why the letter still looks new.
“Alam niyo po, alam ko 'yung ganyan. Dahil sa ginagamit po na papel ng mga pintor para huwag siyang kumalat pati ang obra, ini-spray-an 'yan para 'wag maluma at 'wag magkalat 'yung pintura doon sa papel. Kung baga parang may acid silang nilalagay.”
Cristy and her co-host Rommel Chika then went on to restate some other negative comments on the letter.
“E 'yung papel daw nu'ng sinasabi ni Claudine na sulat sa kanya ni Rico, bagong bago pati 'yung pagkakasulat, fresh na fresh daw ang tinta,” said the columnist.
"At saka 'yung penmanship, iba raw ang penmanship ni Rico Yan noon," Rommel added.

Claudine Margaret Castelo Barretto, better known as Claudine Barretto, is a Filipino film and television actress, product endorser and businesswoman. She was born on July 20, 1979 in Manila to Miguel and Estrella Barretto.
Claudine took to IG Live to express her frustration against a hospital for allegedly having made her wait for hours without attending to her needs. She started the video by saying that her chest is almost about to explode, and so she aired her frustration. The actress was in the Emergency, and yet she waited for a very long time.
Lolit Solis took to Instagram and took the time to praise the fans of Claudine. She said that they are magalang and marespeto, which was why even if there are news items that are not that nice about Claudine, she would not bother to discuss them.
