Kuya Kim Atienza has recently taken to social media to thank the staff of “Matanglawin”.
This, after Kuya Kim bagged the Best Educational Program Host award at the 34th PMPC Star Awards for Television.
The new Kapuso TV host won the said award for hosting the now-defunct Kapamilya program.
On his Twitter page, Kuya Kim expressed his gratitude to the educational show’s team.

“Thank you so much to my @matanglawintv staff wherever you all are now. That was a good 13 year run, my heart is full.”
He furthermore thanked the award-giving body for its continuous support.

Kuya Kim Atienza is a broadcaster from the Philippines. He is the son of Lito Atienza, who is a well-known politician. He is famous for his broad knowledge as well as his love for animals. He has served as a politician from 1995 to 2004. He hosted ABS-CBN's educational show, 'Matanglawin', and became the weather anchor of the network's television newscast, 'TV Patrol'. Kuya Kim was also a host for the popular noontime variety show, 'It's Showtime'.
Kuya Kim posted on Saturday a vlog showing him getting reunited with Direk Bobet Vidanes and Billy Crawford. According to Kuya Kim, it’s been a long time since he last saw Direk Bobet and Billy. In the vlog, the three of them bonded together and even sported their stunning motorbikes. It can be recalled that the three of them became part of Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime".
Earlier, the TV host shared on social media the official statement of ABS-CBN on his network transfer. The Kapamilya network thanked Kuya Kim "for his dedication, passion, and most of all, service to the Filipino people".
