During his interview on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Tuesday, August 11, Boy Abunda highlighted Wilbert’s longstanding gratitude toward “It’s Showtime.” The host noted that Wilbert had always expressed appreciation for the program, prompting him to reflect on how his experience on the show influenced his growth as an artist.

Wilbert said much of who he has become in the entertainment industry came from his time on “It’s Showtime,” particularly when it came to comedy. He explained that the experience helped him overcome his introverted and shy nature and gave him the confidence to express his artistic side.

“Sobra, Tito Boy. Lagi kong sinasabi na 'yung buong pagkatao ko ngayon sa showbiz, nanggaling sa Showtime. As in, lalo na 'yung comedy, Tito Boy, kasi ang dami kong comedy ngayon na projects. Kung hindi ako dumaan sa Showtime, andoon ako as an introvert person na mahiyain. Hindi ko kayang ilabas 'yung arts ko. At grabe, like na-mold talaga 'yung buong pagkatao ko sa Showtime, Tito Boy.”

Boy then pointed out Wilbert’s versatility as an artist, noting that he has explored various creative pursuits, including writing music, performing, acting, comics, and basketball.
