Actress LJ Moreno and former professional basketball player Jimmy Alapag recently opened up about a challenging period in their relationship prior to tying the knot, shedding light on the maturity and confidence that have sustained their marriage today.

The revelation came to light during the married couple's guest appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on July 2. Boy Abunda initiated the said conversation by revisiting a lesser-known chapter of the couple's history, noting that they had parted ways for a duration of time before deciding to exchange vows.
When asked about the underlying reasons for that temporary separation, LJ admitted that personal immaturity and jealousy played significant roles. She pointed out that Jimmy was also relatively inexperienced in long-term relationships during that phase of their lives. Explaining their past dynamic, LJ said:
"I think we both needed to grow up. I was very selosa at that time. Saka siya, parang second girlfriend pa lang niya ako noong time na 'yon."
