Melai Cantiveros recently shared her gratitude and excitement after returning to South Korea together with her husband, Jason Francisco, and their daughters, Mela and Stella. The actress took to social media to reflect on the blessing of once again visiting Korea with her family, revealing that this marked their third year returning to the country.

“Thank you Lord again and again for this oppurtunity na makapag Korea ulit brought to me and my family. this is our year 3 kaya Kamsahamnida Lord Jesus Christand sobrang nakakahappy pa ay ang Tour namin is about Piligrimage,” Melai wrote.
According to the actress-host, the trip holds a deeper spiritual significance because their itinerary revolves around pilgrimage activities. Melai also opened up about dealing with fear and anxiety while choosing to lean on faith and courage throughout the journey.

The Korea trip also reminded many netizens of Melai’s previous project filmed in the country. A few years ago, the comedienne starred in the 2023 action-comedy movie Ma’am Chief: Shakedown in Seoul, which was produced by PULP Studios.
Directed by Kring Kim, the film featured Melai in the lead role and was officially released on November 15, 2023. The movie became notable for bringing together a diverse cast of Filipino and Korean artists.
Among the Filipino actors who appeared in the film were Karylle, Alora Sasam, Jennica Garcia, Bernadette Allyson, and Pepe Herrera.
The production also included Korean stars such as Moon Kyung, Gabriel Choi, Lee Seung-gi, Do Ji-han, and Yuju.
