The celebration was particularly significant as it served as Wally's first appearance on the program in over a month following a road accident in March.

Although Wally was not physically present in the Eat Bulaga studio, he joined his fellow Dabarkads through a virtual appearance. The emotional segment featured the hosts gathered on stage with a birthday cake, while Wally's face beamed across the studio’s giant LED screens. Despite the distance, the atmosphere remained festive as the cast and audience showered him with warm greetings and cheers.

It is worth noting that Wally figured in a motorcycle accident along the Andaya Highway in Camarines Sur last March. Wally has been away from the show to focus on his recovery following the incident.

After the on-air surprise, Wally shared a photo of the cake sent by his colleagues on Instagram to express his gratitude.

In the caption, he wrote, “Maraming salamat po Eat Bulaga Family,” thanking the production for the gesture. He followed this with a call to the show's loyal viewers, writing, “Dabarkads!
