Gab Pangilinan shared a moving tribute to veteran actress Sue Prado, who passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the age of 44.

On Instagram Stories on Thursday, April 16, Gab honored the late actress’s strong presence in the industry, writing: “In the little i've done with the film industry, Sue was everything and everywhere.”

Gab reflected on the special familial roles they often shared throughout her career milestones. “I was privileged to have had her as my sister in my first film, and as my mom in the last one we did together,” Gab shared.

Gab is a prominent stage and screen performer best known for her powerhouse roles in Philippine musical theater, including playing Young Joy in the hit musical Ang Huling El Bimbo. She was born to parents Joseph Pangilinan, a businessman and former member of the singing group Kundirana, and Vicky Sevilla, a dentist and former member of Music and Magic. Gab is the niece of current Senator Kiko Pangilinan and talent manager Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano, belonging to a prominent clan of Filipino artists and public servants.

Sue Prado, born on May 18, 1981, was a respected figure in Philippine cinema, widely recognized for her powerful performances in independent films such as Oro, Barber’s Tales, and Kantil, for which she won a Cinemalaya Best Supporting Actress award. She was also a familiar face on television, with recent appearances in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, Abot Kamay na Pangarap and My Father’s Wife.
