In the interview with host Boy Abunda, Heart shared how her mother played a crucial role in helping her regain her confidence while attending major fashion weeks in Paris and Milan. According to the actress, she was going through a difficult time in her personal life, which affected both her self-esteem and ability to work.

“Mommy ko, of course, you know my mom. She was my original ‘momager.’ And I was really going through something in my life. I lost my confidence. And ‘yun nga, nalulunod ako sa mga naririnig ko,” Heart said.

“But the thing is, I couldn’t work. And I’m there to work. So I really need my mom to talagang ‘Anak, gawin mo ‘to.’ So talagang siya ‘yung nag-schedule, ‘Kailangan mo itong gawin, you have to do this, focus.’ To remind me of my worth. And it worked,” she added.

Heart credited her mother for stepping in not just as a parent, but as a guiding force who helped her stay grounded and focused. Cecilia Ongpauco, whom she described as her original “momager,” took on the responsibility of organizing her schedule and pushing her to continue fulfilling her commitments despite her internal struggles.

The emotional highlight of the interview came when Heart delivered a heartfelt message to her mother, shedding tears as she expressed her gratitude and love.

“Thank you for loving me so much. Makikipagpatayan talaga siya para sa akin kasi siya talaga ’yung nakakaalam ng puso ko kasi galing sa kaniya ‘yun eh,” she said.
