The popular host rushed himself to the hospital after experiencing severe difficulty in breathing during a live radio broadcast. On Monday, April 6, Jhaiho took to Instagram to share the harrowing experience, announcing a major lifestyle change by vowing to quit vaping immediately.

On Thursday, April 9, the radio personality shared a more positive outlook on his recovery through a social media post, expressing gratitude for his improved condition.

“Salamat po Lord. Umook ok na ako at ang paghinga ko ay ummayos na.. (Kaya kaya na mag spiels ng hindi hinahapo. Hindi kinakapos),” Jhaiho stated, noting that his breath had returned to a level where he could once again perform his radio duties without physical strain.

Jhaiho also found humor in his current medical treatment, comparing his former habit to his new recovery routine.

“Nakakatawa lang. Nakakapag USOK parin naman pero hindi na VAPE. Nebulizer hey hey na,” Jhaiho wrote, referring to the steam from his nebulizer treatments.

He concluded his message by acknowledging the wave of support he received from the public during his health scare.
