Actress Max Collins became emotional as she spoke about her experience growing up without her father during her guest appearance on GMA’s Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, offering a deeply personal reflection on identity, acceptance, and healing.

In the interview, Max revealed that there was a time when she actively tried to find her father, hoping that meeting him would fill a missing piece in her life. However, after years of searching without success, she made the difficult decision to let go.

“I am gonna stop. Pagod na ’ko. OK na ’yun,” she said candidly.

The actress explained that her decision was not rooted in bitterness, but rather in acceptance and gratitude for her mother.

“Not to be mean but it’s like my mom did everything. Siya ’yung tumayong ina at ama sa aming pamilya so hindi ko siya kailangan,” Max shared.

According to her, her father had left early in her life and never made an effort to reconnect.

“Umalis siya, never naman siya bumalik. Hindi naman niya ako hinanap. So ba’t ko naman siya kailangan hanapin,” she added.

Max’s reflections highlighted a powerful realization she came to over time, that her sense of completeness does not depend on finding her father.

“I really felt like mabubuo ako kapag nakilala ko ang tatay ko. Pero hindi pala totoo ’yun eh,” she admitted.

She went on to explain that one’s sense of wholeness ultimately comes from perspective and personal growth, rather than from external validation or unresolved relationships.

“Depende sa perspective mo sa buhay, ’yun ’yung natutunan ko,” she said.

Max Collins has been open about various aspects of her personal life in recent years, using her platform to share both her struggles and growth. Her latest revelation adds another layer to her journey, showing how she has come to terms with her past while focusing on the present.

Max Collins and Pancho Magno were married on December 11, 2017, in a ceremony attended by family and close friends at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City. The couple got engaged earlier that year in May after being in a relationship for four years. They later welcomed their son, Skye Anakin, who was born on July 6, 2020 through a home water birth. However, during a previous appearance on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda in May 2023, Max disclosed for the first time that she and Pancho had already separated.

In an earlier report, Max also spoke openly about her journey to regain her pre-pregnancy body. She revealed that she underwent liposuction and chose to be transparent about the procedure, saying she no longer felt the need to hide it. According to the actress, the experience was painless and she had a smooth recovery that lasted about two weeks. She also emphasized that maintaining fitness involves discipline, consistency, and sometimes external help.
