In a social media post, Angie looked back on her decade-long journey since coming out, describing it as a profound rebirth that brought clarity and inner peace after years of confusion.
“Yesterday was the Transgender day of Visibility and I wanted to share my experiences so far (even if I am a day late) it’s been 10 years since my coming out and I am more than grateful for my rebirth,” she wrote.
Angie opened up about the internal struggles she experienced before fully embracing her identity, comparing it to having two competing systems within her mind.

“Before I came out I would describe my situation as having two operating systems like Android OS vs Mac OS. It was truly confusing and mentally draining on what program was going to run in my brain,” she shared.
Looking back at old photos, Angie said she could now see signs of uncertainty in her past self—something that has since disappeared.
“From my older photos I can see lots of my half smiles and unsureness. That all went away when I came out,” she added.
According to Angie, one of the most crucial factors in her journey was the overwhelming support she received from the people around her. She credited her friends, family, workplace, and followers for helping her embrace her true self and live more freely.
“I had the love and support of my friends, family, work and all of you who follow me today. Today I have clarity and I always feel like I have the ability to do almost anything I put my heart to.”
She emphasized that acceptance played a key role in her well-being, noting that without it, her path might have taken a much darker turn.
“Without love 💕 and acceptance I would have probably spiralled into chaos so thank you to all those beautiful people who sent and shared positivity.”
Angie also used her platform to encourage others who may be going through similar struggles, particularly those dealing with gender or body dysmorphia. She advised seeking professional help and reminded her followers that it’s never too late to begin their journey toward self-acceptance.
“If you’re experiencing gender or body dysmorphia please talk to a professional as being heard will help clear your journey. And remember it’s never too late to start.”
Her post quickly resonated with many online, especially members of the LGBTQ+ community who found inspiration in her story. Supporters praised her honesty and courage, while others expressed gratitude for her openness in discussing topics that are often misunderstood or stigmatized.
