In a candid social media post, Tuesday shared that from 2022 to 2024, she struggled with recurring episodes of depression that also took a toll on her physical health. Despite seeking medical help, she admitted that treatment alone was not enough to fully address what she was going through.

“PAINTING SAVED ME
From 2022-2024 I was spiralling in and out of depression and my health suffered for it. I tried everything I can medically to help myself but I’d always find these interventions not sufficient in themselves alone as a course of treatment,” she wrote.

She also revealed that she chose to keep her struggles to herself during that time, not wanting to burden others, even as she turned to prayer for comfort.

“I also suffered in silence because I didn’t want to be a burden on anybody. I prayed on good days but my prayers were louder on days I’d feel like I’m drowning. I thought that I would never recover,” she shared.

Tuesday described the unpredictability of her condition, saying she would feel okay one day and then overwhelmed the next. In search of something that could help her heal, she decided to reconnect with activities that once brought her joy.

“I decided to revisit things in my life that make me smile. Hobbies long forgotten, activities that take away the attention from the pain I was feeling. I picked up a paint brush and started my painting journey,” she said.

At first, she admitted feeling insecure and doubtful about starting something new later in life, even questioning herself and worrying about what others might think. However, she chose to push through those thoughts and focus on the process.

According to Tuesday, painting became a form of meditation that helped her reconnect with her thoughts and find clarity. More than that, she said it deepened her spiritual connection.

“Painting helped me hear my thoughts again. I’d like to think it made me closer to God too. I bow my head before I start any project, thanking the Lord for trusting me with this gift. And for a brief moment all is well in the world again,” she shared.

Now in a better place, Tuesday is using her art not only as a form of personal healing but also as a way to inspire others. She announced that she is putting six of her paintings up for sale, hoping that those who acquire them will feel the same warmth and comfort she experienced while creating them..
