Television personality and former dancer RR Enriquez showed her support for fellow celebrity Kiray Celis, addressing the criticism the latter encountered for engaging in live selling on social media.

On Thursday, March 5, RR shared a quote card from ABS-CBN News on her Instagram Stories, featuring Kiray’s heartfelt response to detractors. In it, Kiray said:

“May nag-comment nang nagla-live ako, sabi, 'yuck, online seller na lang'. Gusto ko sabihin, 'doon umayos buhay ko.' Hindi siya online seller lang. Hindi ko kaya sabihin 'yong 'lang' kasi doon umayos buhay ng pamilya ko. Ngayon ako na nagpapaaral sa mga pamangkin ko lahat, dati baon-baon lang. Dahil sa 'online lang' na sinasabi nila.”

In her Instagram post, RR agreed with Kiray and emphasized that online work can be a legitimate source of income. She wrote that many types of online activity can generate money if used correctly:

“Agree with you Kiray. Nasa online selling ang pera. Lahat ng klaseng online may pera if marunong ka lang gumamit.”

RR explained that even gaming or social media promotion can be profitable:

“Online games may pera, mag online ka lang sa Facebook, TikTok or Instagram at mag promote ng brands, magkakapera ka. Mag edit ka ng video at ioffer mo ito as a video editor magkaka pera ka na. Hindi nakakahiya na gamitin ang diskarte sa online para magka pera.”

She also criticized those who spend time online gossiping instead of earning:

“Ang nakakahiya is yung online ka kakachizmiz at bash ng hindi ka nagkakapera. Yung sawsawera online ko kumikita din ako kaso tinigil ko na. Ibalik ko kaya.”

RR concluded by encouraging everyone to use online platforms to make a living:

“But anyways ang point dito is gamitin natin ang online para magka pera!!!”

RR’s post underscores a growing conversation in the entertainment industry about the value of digital entrepreneurship. While some online activities are often looked down upon, she highlighted that using online platforms for earning is a legitimate and practical way to support oneself and one’s family.
