On Instagram on Tuesday, March 3, Inquirer posted an art card featuring Suntay’s statement: “Alam niyo minsan, nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis, ang ganda-ganda pala niya. You know, may desire sa loob ko na, nag-init talaga, na-imagine ko na lang kung ano'ng pwedeng mangyari pero syempre hanggang imagination na lang 'yon. Pero 'di naman siguro ako pwedeng kasuhan kung ano ang na-imagine ko eh.”

In its caption, Inquirer pointed out that several of Suntay’s colleagues criticized him for his lewd remarks, which he made while attempting to make a point during the hearing.

Angel joined the discussion in the comments section of Inquirer’s post. “Nak ng tokwa [facepalming Emoji] san ba yung pamalo….” she wrote, expressing disbelief and frustration over the lawmaker’s statement.

Her remark, delivered as a pointed rebuke, quickly caught the attention of netizens who echoed similar sentiments in response to the controversy.
