The appeal came on Wednesday, February 25, following Kylie’s viral reaction to her father’s statement that he is willing to run for vice president if former President Rodrigo Duterte commands it, as seen in a video shared by News5. In her reaction, Kylie initially said, “Aalis na ko ng Pilipinas,” which sparked public attention.
In a Facebook post, Kylie once again clarified the intent behind her comment and emphasized her respect for her father. “Please do not take my statement and use it against my father. I admire all the good he is doing for our country,” she wrote, urging the public to focus on her father’s accomplishments rather than her personal reaction.

Kylie explained that her comment was purely personal, stemming from her desire for a quiet life, not criticism. “I only made the comment out of my desire to live a calm, peaceful and quiet life. Di ko sinabi yun to insult him or anyone else,” she said.
