Jaya took to social media to recount the surprise proposal and her joy over this new chapter in their relationship. Friends Conrad and Ethel Clemente, along with Ace and Kris Carandang, helped Gary plan the romantic surprise. Jaya also jokingly noted that the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl win made the day even more special for her husband.

“So we just got engaged February 8 in Colorado Springs. My husband Gary surprised me together with our friends by The Garden of the Gods. Whaaaat??? I really had no idea he was going to do this. We were married by a judge in 2006 while I was 6months pregnant. But we both wanted to do a simple church wedding this year. So I guess he really had to propose 😭 😍 Honey, thank you for asking me and you know I will always say YES! I thank the Lord for keeping us together all these 20 years. Now we will get to do this under kingdom alignment and give each other our vows, for real! With Jesus Christ in the center, our children and dear friends, we can finally say I do and I will!!!
