On Instagram Stories on Tuesday, February 3, Kazel posted a photo of her lola that appeared to have been taken inside a medical center. The image showed her grandmother resting following a medical procedure, prompting concern and prayers from fans and supporters who saw the update.

Along with the photo, Kazel included a long on-screen caption where she openly talked about the emotional weight of the past weeks and how the experience changed her perspective. She began by acknowledging the challenges their family has faced and the people who extended help in different ways.

“This season has been heavy but also eye-opening. Thank you to those who prayed for my lola, helped financially, sent food, visited her and genuinely checked on us. You know who you are, and I will remember each and every one of you!!”

In her message, Kazel emphasized that the support they received went beyond simple well-wishes, noting that some people offered financial help, sent meals, visited in person, and regularly checked on their situation. She made it clear that every gesture mattered and would not be forgotten.

Kazel then gave special mention to one group in particular that sent gifts for her grandmother while she recovers.

“Thank you @papafeel.ph really really appreciate sending my lola flowers and fruits!”

The actress went on to clarify her grandmother’s medical condition for those who may not yet be aware of what happened. She revealed that her lola, who is already over a century old, recently underwent a complicated surgical procedure involving her hip.

In August last year, Kazel’s grandmother, Pacita, went viral after reacting to the hair-pulling scene in My Father’s Wife. The video from Keith Talens’ vlog “Kasatsat” garnered more than 8.6 million views. Fans and netizens were highly entertained by the grandmother’s supportiveness and Kazel’s strong performance as a villain. Kazel received even more praise for her effective portrayal of Betsy.
