Addressing the media, Willie said he has come to terms with the outcome and reflected on it with a sense of clarity and acceptance. He shared that he believes the loss may simply mean that public office was not meant for him, adding that, in a way, he feels he still “won” by staying true to himself and his principles.

Willie explained that part of his reflection involved questioning how he would have navigated the political landscape had he won. He admitted that aligning with political parties and choosing sides would have been difficult for him, as he views public service as something that should rise above partisan loyalty. For Willie, politics should not be about alliances or camps but about genuine service to the people, which he feels can become complicated inside institutions like the Senate.

“Okay lang. Siguro hindi ito para sa’kin. Siguro ‘yung pagkatalo ko, parang nanalo pa ako eh. Kung isipin mo, kung nanalo ako, anong gagawin ko? Kanino ako sasama? Kanino ako kakampi?”
“For me, ang pulitika, hindi ‘yan pulitika eh. You’re a public servant. Tumakbo ako para magsilbi sa bayan. Hindi ako tumakbo para kumampi… kung nasa senado ako at kumampi ako sa isang partido at hindi yung isa, napakahirap.”

Despite not securing a seat, Revillame emphasized that his desire to help has not changed. He shared that he still wants to support the government in his own way, even without holding an official position. “I want to help the goverment. Hindi man ako nanalo, wala man ako sa position… Gagawa kami ng paraan. Basta maging successful ‘to, we’ll share the blessings sa mga mahihirap.”
