In his personal life, Eric married Rona Samson in March 2015 in a ceremony held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in Cubao, Quezon City.

In an earlier report, Eric spoke up strongly in defense of his wife Rona amid online body shaming. He shared her painful journey, which included multiple knee surgeries, miscarriages, and a life threatening childbirth experience. Eric also revealed that their son Legend was a miracle baby conceived through a single IVF attempt after doctors said Rona could no longer get pregnant. He stressed that her body changes were the result of immense sacrifice, loss, and resilience, urging people to stop judging others and to recognize that true beauty lies in what a person has survived.

Previously, Eric also opened up about his own fitness journey after losing 27 pounds in just 23 days through fasting, training, and clean eating. He admitted that he gained over 30 pounds following knee surgery and struggled with emotional eating during recovery.
