The actress shared that her stay abroad was never part of a long-term plan and only happened because of the COVID-19 pandemic. She recalled arriving in Australia with just one suitcase to celebrate a birthday when borders suddenly closed and lockdowns were enforced everywhere, which forced her to stay longer than expected
“Kakarating ko lang with just one suitcase just for his birthday and then siguro mga 2 or 3 days after ko dumating, nag-close ’yung borders, nag-lockdown na everywhere,” she shared
Now that she is back home, Bianca King said the biggest reason for returning was her need for support as a mother. She admitted that life overseas put her in constant survival mode, where she was exhausted just trying to get through each day. Bianca shared that she reached a point where she felt motherhood should not always feel that hard, and she wanted a better quality of life surrounded by family, close friends, and other children, especially so her daughter could grow up close to her cousins

“Una kasi kailangan talaga namin ng suporta. Ako kasi, nag-suffer ako eh. I was always in survival mode just trying to make it through the day, just doing everything. At the end of the day, pagod na pagod na ako and I’m like, this is not the way I want motherhood to be for me. Life can be so much better. Dahil gusto namin mapalapit sa family namin. We want to raise our daughter with the comfort of my friends and their kids, and also be close to her cousin, because they love being together“

The actress also spoke honestly about losing her sense of self while living abroad. She said that as a hardworking person and an artist, she felt she lost parts of who she was because everything revolved around the household. Bianca explained that many mothers feel the same way, and she believes she can be a better mother and wife if she has balance, a life outside the home, and space to reconnect with herself again
“I am a hard worker, I am an artist, I like to do my own thing so I felt I lost myself. ’Yan ang pinaka-common na maririnig mo sa mothers di ba? Nawala ’yung sense of self. And feeling ko mas magiging mas mabuting ina and wife ako kung meron akong buhay outside of the household, kung merong balance,” she stated
