Vice Ganda is one of the most popular stars in the Philippines. He is known as a comedian, actor, endorser, and TV host, and has been a regular on the noontime show “It’s Showtime” for many years. He has also starred in many successful MMFF movies. In his personal life, Vice is in a relationship with Ion Perez, and they made their commitment official through a Certificate of Commitment in a small ceremony in Las Vegas on October 19, 2021.
As previously reported by KAMI, Vice Ganda clinched the Best Actor award at the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival for his role in “Call Me Mother,” with his acceptance speech quickly gaining widespread attention online. During his speech, Vice spoke candidly about the emotional toll of postponing plans to start a family with his partner, Ion Perez, due to work commitments. He expressed regret for the delays and shared his heartfelt longing to eventually become a parent and raise a child. Vice and Ion, who have been together for several years, continue to stand by each other as they support one another and pursue their shared aspirations.
Earlier, Vice recalled having a traumatic experience attending school Christmas parties due to the pressure of exchange gifts while speaking on It’s Showtime during the “Laro Laro Pick” segment. The experience led him to empathize with a solo parent who joined the segment, underscoring the importance of parents being able to provide for their children’s needs, especially during the Christmas season.
