Nadine Lustre has addressed her absence from the recent promotions of her Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, Call Me Mother, particularly during the festival’s much-awaited Parade of Stars. The actress explained that her absence was due to personal health reasons, emphasizing the importance of taking a step back to recharge.

According to a report by ABS-CBN News, Nadine said on Monday, “I had to take my yearly sabbatical, it's very important for me to take care of my health and nagpaalam naman ako kay Ate Vice [Ganda].” Nadine’s candid admission highlighted her commitment to self-care, even amid one of the busiest times in the Philippine entertainment calendar.

The Parade of Stars, a major highlight of the MMFF, took place on Friday, December 19, in Makati. This grand event, eagerly awaited by fans every year, showcased the stars of the festival’s eight entries — Bar Boys: After School, Call Me Mother, I'mPerfect, Love You So Bad, Manila's Finest, Rekonel, Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins, and UnMarry. Each film’s cast rode on intricately designed floats that captured the essence of their respective stories, bringing color and excitement to the streets of Metro Manila.
