Carlo Aquino opens up on baby plans with Charlie Dizon: “Ready na ako”

Carlo Aquino shared happy news about his family plans with wife Charlie Dizon as he revealed that they are already trying to have a baby. The actor opened up about it during an interview with the media at the MMFF Parade of Stars event held on December 19 for his movie Bar Boys, as reported by PUSH.

Carlo said they are praying and hoping to be blessed with a child next year, adding that while they are doing their part, they believe the final decision is still up to God. He also shared that they have no strong gender preference and that what matters most is having a healthy baby, though he admitted it would be nice for their daughter Mithi to have a baby brother. Carlo has one child, Mithi, from his previous relationship with Trina Candaza.

“Nag-ta-try kami and praying na sana mapagbigyan. Siyempre mag-ta-try kami, pero nasa Kanya pa rin yung ultimate decision kung bibigyan niya kami ng blessing na ganun. Pero nagdadasal kami na sana talaga mabigyan kami next year.

“Wala (gender preference), basta healthy. Although siyempre, nandiyan na si Mithi so sana magkaroon ng boy. Pero whatever, kung ano yung maging blessing sa amin, tatanggapan din namin at mamahalin namin,” he said.

Carlo is also part of the 2025 MMFF entry Bar Boys: After School, which continues the story a decade after the original film. According to the Philippine Star, the cast members are Rocco Nacino as Atty. Torran Garcia, Enzo Pineda as Atty. Chris Carlson, Carlo Aquino as Atty. Erik Vicencio, and Kean Cipriano as Josh Zuñiga, with veteran and award-winning actress Odette Khan returning as Justice Hernandez. The film follows the former law school barkada who are now established professionals, but their long-awaited 10-year reunion quickly turns bittersweet as they face new challenges together.

Carlo Aquino is one of the most well-known actors in the Philippines. He starred in popular films like Isa Pa With Feelings with Maine Mendoza, Ulan with Nadine Lustre, and Exes Baggage with his former girlfriend Angelica Panganiban.
