Neri said she grew up without hearing reassuring words like “You’re enough” or “You can rest,” which made her look for validation through achievements and productivity. But now, she is learning to accept that she does not need to be more than who she is, and she hopes others who feel the same can also find peace in knowing they are already worthy.
Below is Neri’s full reflection:

This morning, habang nagkakape ako sa garden, I opened my journal and wrote something I never really say out loud…
“Why do I feel like I’m never enough?”
Di ko alam kung ako lang ba ’to o may nakakaramdam din ba sa inyo ng ganito?
Yung pakiramdam na kahit anong gawin mo… as a mom, a wife, a daughter, a friend…. parang may kulang pa rin. Parang kailangan pa ng MORE.
More work. More effort. More results. More proof.
Growing up, no one really told me..
“You’re enough.”
“You’re doing good.”
“You can rest.”
So I looked for those words everywhere.
From people.
From accomplishments.
From praise.
From how clean my house is.
From how productive my day looks.
From how many things I can juggle without breaking.
But lately… habang tumatanda ako, habang napapagod, habang dumadaan sa mga seasons ng buhay.. I’m learning something new.
I don’t need to be “MORE” to be worthy.
I just need to be ME.
The quiet, tired, soft, hopeful, sometimes-sabaw version of me.
The mom who tries.
The wife who shows up.
The woman who keeps going even when her heart is heavy.
And that Neri… that real Neri… is already enough.
Baka kailangan mo rin marinig yan ngayon.
Maybe you’ve been too hard on yourself.
Maybe you’re tired of proving something.
Maybe you forget that even on your simplest days, you are still worthy of love, rest, joy, and grace.
So here’s OUR GENTLE REMINDER for today…
WE don’t need to earn OUR worth.
WE already have it.
WE are enough… exactly as WE are right now.
If you’re reading this with your coffee or tsaa..
if you’re tired,
if you’re questioning yourself,
if you’re trying your best…
Sabay tayo.
We’ll figure this season out together”
