Actress and philanthropist Angel Locsin took to social media platform X to express her pride in her stepson, Joaquin Arce, who is currently one of the housemates on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.

Angel shared how she doesn’t typically comment, but “seeing Joaquin grow from a little boy into someone who helps, listens, and keeps the peace at home makes me proud.” She also added a note to the audience: “If he ever talks a bit loud or doesn’t respond, please forgive him — our son is completely deaf in his right ear.” Her message was warmly received by netizens, who praised her support for Joaquin and her openness about his disability.

Joaquin is part of a bigger housemate lineup that includes Gen Z stars from both Kapuso and Kapamilya networks. Among his fellow housemates are Sparkle Artist Center talents like Sofia Pablo, Heath Jornales, and Anton Vinzon, and Star Magic talents including Krystal Mejes, Miguel Vergara and Eliza Borromeo. The season, which premiered in late October 2025, features 20 housemates who will face weekly tasks and challenges under Big Brother’s watch.

Angel Locsin, who became Joaquin’s stepmother following her marriage to producer-director Neil Arce, has been steadily involved in humanitarian work and advocacy prior to supporting Joaquin’s TV journey.

On Instagram Stories, the film producer admitted that he and his wife forgot their anniversary. He then thanked those who reminded them about their special day. He reassured fans that this was no big deal between them, sharing their early agreement to treat every day as special instead of focusing on specific dates.
