Comedian Gil Aducal Morales, more popularly known as Ate Gay, shared a hopeful update on his health journey through a Facebook post on Tuesday. The comedian, who has been battling Stage 4 Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma since September, revealed that he has completed a major part of his treatment.

“Yehey! Nalagpasan ko ang pagduduwal [at] walang panlasa,” Ate Gay wrote, expressing relief after enduring difficult side effects from chemotherapy. He continued, “Now, nakakakain na nang bongga. Graduate na ako sa chemo.”

Ate Gay went on to share that he is now entering the next phase of his treatment. “15 days radiation nalang then immunotherapy (12 sessions, every 21 days). Salamat po sa mga dasal nyo, lumalaban ako,” he added, ending his message with gratitude and determination.

Alongside his post, the comedian uploaded a photo of himself smiling in the hospital, showing optimism and resilience despite the challenges of his ongoing treatment.
