I realized that depression happens when we don’t allow ourselves to express our true feelings. In a world where we are heavily conditioned to suppress our emotions, we must learn how to unlearn old beliefs and start practicing authentic living. Cry when you need to, celebrate when you’re happy and then let it all go. Do not attach to anything, whether “good or bad.” Life goes on. Honoring your emotions keeps you healthy while denying them keeps you stuck. Do not be afraid to feel your pain. God is always with you.
