In a lengthy and heartfelt post, Jeraldine said she had been crying and losing sleep over the decision, explaining that the name represented years of effort, creativity, and memories she built from scratch.

Jeraldine shared that she started the page in August 2021, initially calling it Hello Friends with Nimo before changing it to The Blackman Family, a name inspired by their surname. She recounted how she spent countless hours brainstorming, filming, and editing every video herself, emphasizing that she never copied others’ content and poured her full dedication into the project.

Now, four years later, Jeraldine said she feels heartbroken to let go of something she worked so hard to build, but she also believes it’s time for a new beginning. She stressed that while some people claim she benefited from the name, it was her creation and effort that made The Blackman Family what it became online, promising fans that she will return soon with a fresh start.

At the end of her post, Jeraldine wrote:

“I‘m crying this morning AGAIN… it’s very emotional and such a hard decision to make. I’ve given this so much thought already. Last night, I couldn’t sleep until 2 a.m. because I was having a hard time letting go of the trademark I built “The Blackman Family.”

I created this page back in August 2021. I named it after our last name. It started as Hello Friends with Nimo, but later on, I changed to The Blackman Family. I made every video from scratch, never copied anyone’s work, never took someone else’s video and claimed it as mine. Every video was filmed and created on our own. I spent days and nights thinking of ideas, creating content, and figuring out how to execute them. I went through sleepless nights editing videos!

4 years later… all of this happened, and it honestly breaks my heart to let go of The Blackman Family page. All the hard work I poured into it feels like it’s being thrown away, but I know that if I change the name, it will give us a fresh start.

A lot of people say I’m benefiting from using The Blackman Family, but they should remember, I built this trademark. No one else created this name on the internet four years ago, it was me. Every bit of effort, love, and dedication came from my heart. So maybe they should think twice before saying things they don’t know. I treated our page with respect! I only use it to post my daily videos/photos and I use it for fun!

Letting go of the name is so hard, it’s honestly breaking me but I’m doing it. And when I come back, I’ll be coming back new.”
