“Hindi na, wala na, Tito Boy, wala na. Ayoko na. Ayoko na po. Okay na okay na ako sa mga anak ko, okay na ako sa negosyo ko, okay ako sa career ko. I’m happy.”

Pokwang’s statement comes after her highly publicized split with former partner Lee O’Brian, the father of her daughter, Malia. The couple broke up in 2021 after six years together. After their split, the Bureau of Immigration ordered O’Brian’s deportation following Pokwang’s accusations that he had overstayed in the Philippines and working without a work visa.

Despite the controversies, Pokwang said she is now fully focused on her children, her growing food business, and her showbiz career, emphasizing that she has found peace and happiness in her independence.

Marietta Subong, or Pokwang, is among the most well-loved comediennes in the industry. Her frank and motherly ways are always "patok" among Filipinos. She used to be with ABS-CBN but moved to GMA during the pandemic. Some of her popular movies are Call Center, A Mother’s Story, and Edsa Woolworth. She has two daughters, Mae and Malia. Her split with Lee O'Brian has caused a buzz on social media.

Recently, Pokwang voiced her concern for students’ safety following the recent earthquakes affecting different areas of the country. Through an Instagram Story, she supported a call for the temporary implementation of online classes for safety reasons. The comedienne also appealed to the education department to consider the move. As a mother, Pokwang shared that she deeply worries about children’s safety.

In a previous report by KAMI, Pokwang once again proven she is unafraid to speak her mind. On September 21, the actress and comedienne shared a fiery statement on her Instagram Stories, coinciding with the nationwide rallies calling for accountability and action against corruption. Her words reflected the anger of young people and the wider public who feel betrayed by greed and abuse of power. While she did not target specific figures, the post was widely read as a demand for accountability. Through this, Pokwang underscored her role in echoing the frustrations of a generation no longer willing to stay silent.
