Recently, DJ Chacha urged local government units (LGUs) to prioritize distributing emergency “Go Bags” amid the recent earthquakes instead of spending on political promotions. She emphasized the importance of preparedness and cited Pasig City as an example of an LGU that has already implemented such a program since 2022. The radio host also called on officials to ensure fair and non-selective distribution of aid to residents. Moreover, she criticized the politicization of public service and condemned those who might take advantage of government programs for personal gain.
Earlier, DJ Chacha drew widespread reactions after sharing a weekend reflection that many tied to broader issues of corruption and inequality. Her message resonated as frustrations grew over how families of politicians and government contractors often enjoy out-of-the-country trips and lavish lifestyles while ordinary workers continue to struggle.
