The senator said that making SALNs accessible to the public is a vital step toward accountability and good governance.

“Unang pasok ko pa lang sa gobyerno 24 years ago, meron nang SALN requirement. Nawala lang ito through the past years. Kaya nararapat lang na binalik ito ng Ombudsman na ang mga SALN ay dapat isasapubliko,” he said in a video posted by ABS-CBN News.

Reacting to Bam’s remarks, Pokwang reposted the video clip on her Instagram Stories and shared her agreement while adding her own call for transparency.

She wrote, “Tama po sen. @bamaquino dapat talaga isapubliko ang SALN ng mga opisyal ng gobyerno, pero unahin muna na isa publiko ang pagdinig sa ICI para makuha ang tiwala ng tao na bugbog na.”

Pokwang’s message emphasized that while she supports the senator’s push for transparency through the public release of SALNs, the government should also prioritize making proceedings like the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) hearings accessible to the public. She said doing so would help rebuild the trust of Filipinos who have become disheartened by issues of corruption and lack of accountability.

She used to be with ABS-CBN but moved to GMA during the pandemic. Some of her popular movies are Call Center, A Mother’s Story, and Edsa Woolworth. She has two daughters, Mae and Malia. Her split with Lee O'Brian has caused a buzz on social media.

Recently, Pokwang voiced her concern for students’ safety following the recent earthquakes affecting different areas of the country.
