oAra is the daughter of the late Ricky Davao and actress Jackie Lou Blanco, both respected figures in Philippine entertainment. Ricky, known for his powerful performances in television, film, and theater, was widely admired for his professionalism and humility. His passing earlier this year left a deep void in the industry and in his family’s life, making Ara’s tribute to Rogue — and the connection between her father and her dog — especially poignant.
In her emotional post, Ara expressed gratitude for Rogue’s companionship and the joy the dog brought into her life. “To my dearest Rogue, thank you for 10 wonderful years of being my fluffy bear and playmate. I will miss you being malambing and how excited you would get for treats. I’ll even miss trying to calm you down when you get nervous for the doctor and during storms,” she wrote.
She also reflected on how Rogue’s pictures with her father have become precious mementos. “Couldn’t find pics of you and me cause maybe I was always too focused on taking cute pics of you. Still, I’m thankful you have pics with Papa for me to look back at,” Ara shared.
The actress ended her message with a tender farewell, imagining her father and Rogue reunited. “Though I will miss you so much, I’m thankful for our time together and comforted that Papa has a new playmate in heaven. Run free my Roguey, we love you so much!”
