Neil Arce has come to the defense of Gela Alonte after the young personality was dragged into the middle of public discussions on privilege, politics, and social inequality.

On Instagram Stories, Neil expressed his stance, emphasizing that while he supports calling out corruption, he believes Gela should not be unfairly targeted.
“History would prove that I would be 100% supportive of bashing the corrupt,” Neil wrote.
He continued: “But not Gela Alonte. I have seen her work hard for what she has and I have never seen a glimpse of brattiness or privilege when I work with her.”

Born Angela Marie Fe M. Alonte, Gela is a 23-year-old Filipino content creator, actress, and medical student. She first gained popularity on TikTok through her lifestyle and fashion content before making her acting debut in The Four Bad Boys and Me in 2025.
According to PEP.ph, Gela pursued her college studies at the Ateneo de Manila University, one of the country’s top private Jesuit institutions, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Life Science and Biochemistry. She is now continuing her path in medicine at the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center.
Gela was born into a prominent political family in Biñan City. Her father, Angelo “Gel” Belizario Alonte, currently serves as mayor after three terms as vice mayor, while her aunt Marlyn “Len” Alonte previously represented the city in Congress. Her grandfather, Bayani “Arthur” M. Alonte, also served as mayor, further cementing the family’s political legacy.
On her maternal side, she is the great-granddaughter of philanthropist Dr. Ildefonso Belizario, while her mother, Jhozalyn Mañego Alonte, built a career in the private sector as an operations manager at Rain’s Place Corporation, a company involved in dormitory, hotel, and commercial developments and management.
