Actor and host Xian Lim shared a heartfelt reflection on social media about his journey toward becoming a licensed pilot, offering fans a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs he faced along the way. Alongside photos of his most memorable moments in flight training, Xian opened up about the struggles, sacrifices, and fulfillment that came with pursuing a dream outside of showbiz.

“Favorite moments throughout flight training,” he began, admitting that “Ground school was tough. I didn’t know what to expect, and as the first pilot in my family, it was daunting stepping into the unknown. The deeper the lessons went, the more I asked myself why I choose this path or maybe… why did it choose me?”
The actor revealed that working toward his Private Pilot License tested his limits. “Training for my Private Pilot License pushed me to my limits. At times, it felt impossible. But I learned to take it one day…one step at a time,” he shared.
Despite the hardships, Xian said he committed to his goal fully. “I had to push myself. Commit. Take that leap of faith. The plan was simple. Get my PPL. But after my first checkride, I knew deep down I wanted more. I wanted to keep learning, keep growing, keep flying.”
His determination eventually led him to earn his Commercial Pilot License, which he described as another demanding but rewarding stage. “Earning my Commercial Pilot License was a whole new challenge. Endless hours of studying, cross-country flights, landings in unfamiliar aerodromes. It was tough, but it felt right.”
Still, Xian admitted that the most grueling part was obtaining his Instrument Rating. “Then came Instrument Rating—the hardest part yet. Long, quiet hours. Alone with your thoughts. No celebratory water splashes. It’s just you, the instruments, and endless charts. It [was] difficult, but every step reminded me why I started this journey.”
Now with several milestones behind him, Xian emphasized that his journey is far from over. “The road ahead is far from over and I’m here to stay. Staying inspired, staying hungry for knowledge, and chasing the dream. I hope you can chase yours too.”

Xian Lim is a Pinoy actor, singer, host, model, blogger, and filmmaker. He was a Star Magic contract artist until he signed a contract with Viva Artists Agency in January 2018 and officially moved to GMA Network in 2022.
As previously reported by KAMI, Xian Lim spoke up about his breakup with Kapamilya star, Kim Chiu. Previously, in an interview with Nelson Canlas, Xian said he doesn't have to list who was at fault. According to Xian, the breakup was public since it came from them directly that they parted ways.
Meanwhile, Xian Lim's close friend, Sam Tamayo, also came forward to defend the actor. On Facebook, Sam told netizens to go "easy on the comment" about Xian's recent breakup. Sam then alleged it was Kim who broke things off with Xian. Aside from this, Sam clarified Xian's current relationship with Iris Lee as well.
