The revelation happened during a media interview at the victory party of "Mamay: A Journey To Greatness," held in Quezon City on Saturday, August 23, 2025, according to a report by PEP.ph. The film earned Jeric the Best Supporting Actor award at the 73rd FAMAS Awards, which took place the previous day, August 22, at the Manila Hotel.
In a separate report by Inquirer.net, Jeric shared that AJ and Aljur are raising a boy and a girl together. The seasoned action star, who now counts 15 grandchildren in total, also expressed his fondness for his grandchildren from AJ and Aljur. He noted that the eldest child, whom he affectionately calls “Al Junior,” strongly resembles him.

“Babae (at) lalaki, dalawa na. Tawag ko (sa lalaking apo), Al Junior,” Jeric told members of the entertainment press, including Bandera.
