Actress Glaiza de Castro has shared her emotional journey a month after the passing of her father, Alfred Galura. In an Instagram post on Wednesday, she uploaded a clip of ocean waves and a throwback photo of herself as a child with her dad, reflecting on the pain her family has endured, saying, “Ang mga pangyayari noong mga nakaraang buwan na siguro ang pinakamahirap at pinakamasakit na nangyari sa akin at sa aking pamilya. Panandaliang huminto ang mundo.”

However, the tragedy helped Glaiza realize the people who truly care for her and what is truly important in life, “Pero dahil din doon, nakita ko ang mga taong totoong nagmamalasakit, kung ano ang tunay na mahalaga sa buhay at kung paano magpapatuloy kaming mga naiwan.”

Glaiza admitted that each day remains uncertain, saying, “Bawat araw ay hinaharap kahit na walang kasiguraduhan, bitbit ang mga alaalang tumatak sa puso at isipan dahil bawat araw ay dapat ring pahalagahan at dahil doon, nabibigyan ng pag-asang lumaban dahil hindi tayong pwedeng tumigil ng ganoon nalang.”

She emphasized that while grief never fully fades, it should not consume one’s life. “Hindi mawawala ang lungkot pero hindi rin bababaran. Lahat ay lilipas lang,” she added.
