Veteran actor, singer, and television host Randy Santiago recently underwent cataract surgery at the UST Hospital Eye Center. In social media posts featuring photos from the procedure, Randy explained that “one sign of aging is clouding of the eyes or Cataract which may happen in your 50’s or senior years” and shared that “in my case, it was time to have this procedure.”

Randy expressed immense gratitude toward his surgical team, writing, “Grateful and Thankful to Dr. Rollo Milante and his USTH Eye Center Team for the very smooth, fast, painless and state of the art cataract surgery. I am just so amazed with the result.” He also extended praise to his “Silverde brother, Dr. Elvis Llarena for the referral and personalized support,” and commended the USTH staff for their “truly seamless assistance.” The procedure was “performed at the USTH Eye Center,” he confirmed.

He also shared the addresses of his eye doctor’s other eye clinics: Legazpi Eye Center in Legazpi City, Bicol, and Legazpi Eye Center in Naga City.

Randy’s update highlighted the importance of addressing age-related eye issues like cataracts early to ensure optimum vision and overall wellness.
