Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara broke her silence on her controversial breakup with basketball player Kobe Paras during her recent guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, addressing the public speculation and accusations that surrounded their split.

During the height of the controversy, Kyline was criticized online, with some accusing her of mistreating Kobe. But she chose to remain silent—until now.

“Kaya hindi po ako nagsalita, kasi I still have respect for him as a person despite everything that happened,” Kyline said in her interview. “And sa lahat naman po ng mga tao na nasaktan ako, I will always show them grace.”

Despite the pain, Kyline recalled her relationship with Kobe with sincerity, describing it as a “beautiful experience.”

“I felt really happy. I felt really loved. It’s just that we’re two different people. And that’s okay. And that is okay,” she added. “I’ve learned a lot of lessons in that relationship. And I will always treasure every experience or achievements po na nagawa namin dalawa.”

She admitted there was bitterness in the beginning, but said she has since moved on and let go of any resentment.

“I’m not gonna lie, at first there’s bitterness. But ngayon po, wala na. Kasi, again, you cannot be bothered by the things that you cannot control.”

When asked about the biggest takeaways from the relationship, Kyline pointed to two powerful lessons:

”Knowing your boundaries and having self-respect. Siguro ’yun po ’yung dalawang importante na natutunan po sa relationship na ’yun.”
