Cristy Fermin reacts to dismissal of Sharon Cuneta, Kiko Pangilinan's case against her

Cristy Fermin, during her program “Cristy Ferminute,” discussed the conclusion of Sharon Cuneta and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan’s cyberlibel complaint against her.

On Wednesday’s episode of the show, Fermin revealed that the complaint filed by the couple in 2024 was dismissed through a meaningful reconciliation.

“Gusto ko lang pong linawin, ito pong kaso namin ay na-dismiss. Tama, ‘yan po ang terminong ginagamit. Pero hindi po dahil sa kawalan ng ebidensya o kakulangan ng ebidensya,” Fermin revealed, highlighting that the dismissal of the case was not because of insufficient evidence but due to a genuine effort by both parties to resolve it.

In her commentary, the veteran entertainment columnist likewise admitted to causing pain to the couple, expressed sincere regret, and emphasized humility and acceptance of flaws as a sign of strength.

Furthermore, Fermin could not help but call the Megastar and the senator “the forgiving couple” following the development.

“Pabayaan niyo po akong bigyan sila ng tatak sa puso ko. The forgiving couple, at alam ko po galing sa puso po ang kanilang pagtanggap sa akin muli,” Fermin fondly aired.

She added, “Sa muli, Senator Kiko Pangilinan Sharon Cuneta, maraming salamat sa muling pagtanggap. Maraming salamat sa mabuting puso niyo. Lahat ng dalangin ko ay maganda para sa inyo. Maraming maraming salamat.”

It can be recalled that in May last year, the senator and his wife filed the complaint following the remarks that Fermin made on her online show on YouTube called “Showbiz Now Na!”
