Sneezy Solis-Mcdonald pays emotional tribute to late mother Lolit Solis

Sneezy Solis-Mcdonald, daughter of the late Lolit Solis, has taken to social media to pay tribute to her beloved mother.

On Instagram, Sneezy shared a photo from Manay Lolit’s wake at Aeternitas Chapels and Columbarium in Commonwealth, Quezon City.

In the caption, she penned her emotional thoughts on the number of people who showed their love to her late mom.

“If the sheer number of people who came and/or sent flowers a testament to how much of a force you are, then know that no one could ever even come close to filling the void that you left in the hearts and lives of the people who were all lucky enough to have met you, known you and had the distinct privilege to have called you Nanay.”

Sneezy concluded her moving post by reiterating her love for the deceased veteran talent manager and showbiz columnist.

“I love you Ma,” she affectionately wrote.

Before her passing, Lolit shared on Instagram that she had an anxiety attack while confined at FEU Hospital. She described waking up disoriented and emotionally overwhelmed by the unfamiliar hospital setting.

Despite feeling weak and helpless, she expressed gratitude for the caring staff and doctors at the hospital. The talent manager reflected on the experience as an eye-opener and remained hopeful for recovery so she could return to the life she loved.

Lolit Solis was a well-known personality in the Philippine showbiz industry. Born on May 20, 1947, in Sampaloc, Manila, she started her career as an entertainment news writer and later became a talent manager and host of television talk shows. She passed away on July 3, 2025 at the age of 78 after her long battle with kidney disease.

In a previous report by KAMI, Sandy Andolong shared on Instagram Stories some photos captured when she and her husband, Christopher de Leon, visited Solis’ wake, which is being held at Aeternitas Chapels and Columbarium in Commonwealth, Quezon City. Aside from the couple, Pauleen Luna, Lorna Tolentino, Cavite representative Lani Mercado-Revilla, Benjie Paras, Tonton Gutierrez, and Glydel Mercado, have also visited the wake. ABS-CBN Chief Operating Officer for Broadcast Cory Vidanes was likewise spotted paying her respects to the late talent manager and entertainment reporter.

Cristy Fermin turned emotional while tackling Lolit Solis’ passing on Friday’s episode of “Cristy Ferminute.” Fermin recalled how strong their friendship was despite having conflicting opinions on some issues. Nay Cristy also looked back on Solis’ recent text message to her, where Manay Lolit expressed her gratitude and support for her fellow showbiz reporter. The “CFM” host could not help but cry while reading the touching message.
