Sharing a photo of himself from the hospital, Solomon wrote:
“This was me just weeks ago. Rushed to the emergency room because of a mental breakdown and a full-blown panic attack. This photo was taken by my sister — after I finally calmed down. It’s a version of me that’s far from what most people are used to seeing.”
He recounted the days that followed, including extensive medical tests and a visit to his psychiatrist, who changed his meds and officially diagnosed him with bipolar disorder, in addition to his existing struggles with depression, borderline personality disorder (BPD), and anxiety.
“That night, I went through every physical test. A few days later, I went to see my psychiatrist. They changed my meds… and I was diagnosed as bipolar — on top of my ongoing battles with depression, BPD, and anxiety.”
Fifth reflected on the emotional toll of being publicly criticized and bullied, explaining that some online attacks felt so vicious, it was as if people wished for his demise.
“People who didn’t even know me said the meanest things, as if they did. And honestly, some didn’t just want me to fail — they wanted me DEAD.”
Despite the pain, Solomon said the experience offered him a powerful and painful realization about loyalty and self-worth.
“When you have nothing, that’s when you find out who truly values you, who genuinely loves you, and who was never real in the first place.”
Ending on a note of self-empowerment, Fifth affirmed his renewed commitment to healing and surviving:
“So now, I choose to be loyal to myself. I trust no one blindly. And I keep going — because I deserve to live, to heal, and to rise again.”
Fifth Solomon is an actor and director, known for his projects such as Single Bells (2023), Nakalimutan ko nang kalimutan ka (2018) and My Sassy Girl (2024). He is a close friend of actress and YouTube star Alex Gonzaga. Fifth also used to be a housemate on the ABS-CBN reality show Pinoy Big Brother.
In a previous report, Fifth Solomon took to social media to express his disappointment over the current state of Philippine cinema, as his latest film Lasting Moments, starring JM De Guzman and Sue Ramirez, faces hurdles in securing screenings in local theaters. In a passionate post, Solomon revealed that their distributor has struggled to get the film shown in malls and cinemas, with many establishments prioritizing foreign films over local productions.
Earlier, Fifth Solomon took to X and shared his thoughts on the video of the teacher in "It's Showtime". He called out those who bashed the teacher, who failed to give the right answer to the question about the first woman PH president. The teacher answered Gloria Macapagal Arroyo instead of Cory Aquino. "Tetay" then responded to the erroneous answer of the contestant.
